Gingerbread House DIY Kit

These Gingerbread House Kits were first introduced during covid Christmas in 2020. I wanted to bring some Christmas cheer through these festive kits. They turned out to be a hit! I remember corporates buying these and getting staff to make gingerbread houses as a group activity via Zoom! What a time that was and it goes to show that no matter what, we humans thrive through interaction with others, even online!

Mainly, these kits get gifted to loved ones as a gesture of shared joy and festivity, including senders from overseas wanting to make a connection to loved ones here. These kits make the perfect parent-and-child Christmas activity! Or to bond with your loved ones. And these Gingerbread House Kits have indeed brought joy to countless people, especially children, with our It Takes A Village fundraising drive, which started in the Christmas of 2021. For every Gingerbread House Kit sold, All Things Delicious donates $1 to our It Takes A Village fund.

When purchasing a kit, not only are you gifting yourself (or someone) a joyful Christmas activity, you're also contributing to a fund for a children's shelter in Singapore called Sun Beam Place, a residential home under the care of the Singapore Children's Society. This home is a gazetted place of safety for children and youths, from as young as 8 years old, who are in need of protection or whose parents are unable to provide care.

At the end of the year, we tally up the amount raised and use the funds to buy the essentials for the residents of the home such as stationery, food supplies, sanitary pads, toiletries, etc and deliver them to Sun Beam Place. Till date we have raised more than $2,000 for this fund and we plan to continue doing so yearly for as long as our Gingerbread House Kits remain in demand!
